If the Lusha Extension isn’t showing contact data, won’t open, or is behaving unexpectedly, you can usually fix it in a few minutes. This guide covers the most common extension issues and how to resolve each one.

Possible causes

  • You’re not signed in to the extension
  • The extension needs to be updated
  • A browser conflict or cache issue is preventing the extension from loading
  • The page you’re on isn’t supported
  • Your account has run out of credits
  • Corrupted extension storage is causing a persistent reload loop

Fix 1: Make sure you’re signed in

1

Click the Lusha icon

Click the Lusha icon in your browser toolbar.
2

Sign in if prompted

If you see a Sign In button, click it and enter your Lusha credentials.
3

Refresh and retry

Once signed in, refresh the page and try again.

Fix 2: Update the extension

An outdated extension can cause display issues or data not loading.
1

Open Chrome extensions

In Chrome, go to chrome://extensions in your address bar.
2

Enable Developer mode

Enable Developer mode (top-right toggle).
3

Force-update extensions

Click Update to force-update all extensions.
4

Refresh the page

Refresh the page you’re prospecting on.
In Edge, go to edge://extensions and follow the same steps.

Fix 3: Clear the extension cache

1

Open Manage extension

Right-click the Lusha icon in your toolbar and click Manage extension.
2

Toggle the extension off and on

Toggle the extension off, wait 5 seconds, then toggle it back on.
3

Refresh the page

Refresh the page.
If that doesn’t help:
1

Open browsing data settings

Go to chrome://settings/clearBrowserData.
2

Select what to clear

Select Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.
3

Clear the data

Click Clear data.
4

Reopen your browser and retry

Reopen your browser and try again.

Fix 4: Check if the page is supported

The Lusha Extension works on:
  • LinkedIn (profiles and search results)
  • Company websites
  • Gmail (via Lusha Everywhere)
  • Salesforce and HubSpot (via Lusha Everywhere)
The extension does not work on:
  • Local files
  • Chrome internal pages (e.g., chrome://settings)
  • Pages that block extensions via Content Security Policy
If the Lusha panel isn’t opening on a specific page, try visiting the person’s LinkedIn profile directly.

Fix 5: Check your credit balance

If you can open the extension but can’t reveal contacts, you may have run out of credits.
1

Open Settings → Usage

Go to dashboard.lusha.com → Settings → Usage.
2

Check your remaining credits

Check your credits remaining.
3

Wait or ask your Admin

If you’re out of credits, wait for your next billing cycle or ask your Admin to adjust your allocation.
Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Your Admin can check team-wide usage under Analytics.

Fix 6: Reinstall the extension

If none of the above works, a clean reinstall usually resolves persistent issues.
1

Remove the extension

Right-click the Lusha icon → Remove from Chrome.
2

Find Lusha in the Chrome Web Store

Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for Lusha.
3

Reinstall and sign in

Click Add to Chrome and sign back in.

Fix 7: Extension only works after a page reload

If the extension shows contact data after a reload but stops responding as you navigate between LinkedIn profiles - requiring a fresh reload each time - extension storage is likely corrupted. Clear extension storage
1

Open Chrome extensions

Go to chrome://extensions in your address bar.
2

Open Lusha's details

Find Lusha and click Details.
3

Clear extension storage

Scroll down to Extension storage and click Clear site data.
4

Reload and test

Reload LinkedIn and open the extension to test.
If clearing storage doesn’t resolve it, go back to Fix 6 to do a clean reinstall. If the issue still isn’t resolved after reinstalling, contact Lusha Support using the chat icon in your dashboard. Let us know your browser version and which page the issue occurs on.
