Getting started with Lusha's extension

View as Markdown

The Lusha extension lets you reveal verified contact details directly from LinkedIn profiles, Sales Navigator, company websites, and your CRM - without leaving the page. This guide covers installation, how to prospect on LinkedIn, and all the actions available from the extension panel.

Before you begin:

  • Download the extension from the Chrome Web Store or the Microsoft Edge add-on store. Chrome and Edge are the recommended browsers — full functionality is not supported on Safari.
  • You'll need an active Lusha account. Log in here.

How to open the extension

  1. Log in to your Lusha account.
  2. Go to a LinkedIn profile, search results page, or company page.
  3. Click the blue Lusha icon on the right side of the screen to open the extension panel.

💡 Note: A job change indicator will appear if a contact has recently changed roles.

Prospecting on LinkedIn

The extension works on LinkedIn profiles, search results pages, Sales Navigator, and company pages. Once the panel is open, you can see contact details, company information, intent signals, and colleagues — depending on your plan.

After revealing a contact's details, you can:

Save to a table

  1. Click table.
  2. Choose an existing table or create a new one.
  3. Optionally add a tag.
  4. Click Save.

Export to CRM

  1. Click CRM.
  2. Select your CRM. Connected integrations appear at the top of the list under Connected; other available ones are shown below under Not Connected.
  3. Select the record type — Lead, Contact, or Account.

Add to a sequence

  1. Click Email under the contact's name.
  2. Select between a single email or a sequence.
  3. If you choose sequence, select an existing sequence or save a new one as a draft.

You can add up to 150 contacts at a time to a sequence directly from the extension.

💡 Note: Contacts without email addresses (Wishlist contacts) cannot be added to sequences.

Using the extension on your CRM

You can also use the extension to enrich contacts while browsing inside Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive:

  1. Open the contact record in your CRM.
  2. Click the blue Lusha icon to open the extension panel.
  3. Reveal the contact's details and save, export, or add to a sequence.

💡 Note: In HubSpot, make sure the Company tab is open to view contact details correctly.

Search via the extension

  1. Click the Search tab in the extension panel.
  2. Type your search term and click Search.
  3. You'll be taken to the Lusha Prospecting Platform.

Activity tab

The Activity tab shows all contacts you've saved via the extension. Filter by table to find contacts saved to a specific place. Click the three-dot menu (…) next to any contact to add to a sequence, export to CRM, or move to a different table.

More tab

The More tab gives you quick access to your account information and shortcuts to the Lusha platform (Prospecting, tables, Sequences, Team Management, Integrations).

Extension preferences

Customise how the extension appears and behaves:

  • Position — The extension now opens as a native browser side panel, docked to the edge of the window instead of floating over the page. Its position follows your browser's own side panel setting rather than a left/right toggle inside Lusha.
  • Pin to toolbar — Pin the Lusha icon to your browser toolbar (click the puzzle-piece/extensions icon, then the pin next to Lusha) for one-click access to the panel any time, on any page.
  • Lusha Everywhere — enable to use the extension on B2B websites beyond LinkedIn

💡 Note: The auto-open setting has been removed — the extension no longer opens automatically on profile pages. Pin it to your toolbar so it's always one click away.

💡 Note: The side panel is rolling out now — all new installs already have it, and existing installs are being upgraded on a rolling basis. During the rollout you may still see the older floating overlay with the left/right toggle described above.

Now you're ready to find and save prospects directly from LinkedIn and your CRM. For troubleshooting, see Why is my extension blank on Chrome?
