When someone leaves your team or you need to free up a seat, you can remove them from your Lusha account directly from Team Management.
You must be an Admin or Manager to remove team members. Only another Admin can remove an existing Admin.

How to remove a team member

1

Open Team Management

Go to Team Management in your dashboard.
2

Find the user

Under All Members, find the user you want to remove.
3

Select the user

Check the box next to their name.
4

Open the three-dot menu

Click the three-dot menu (…) in the upper toolbar.
5

Remove and confirm

Select Remove member and confirm.
You’ll see a confirmation notification in the top-left corner once the member is removed. Alternatively, click on a team member to open their profile panel on the right side of the screen, then click the trash icon to remove them.

You can also use bulk actions to add or remove users from groups, or cancel multiple pending invites at once.

A note on removing admins

An Admin cannot remove themselves from the account - another Admin must do this. If you need support with Admin removal, contact Lusha Support via the chat icon in your dashboard. After removal, the affected account will be downgraded to a free plan with limited functionality.

What happens to a removed member’s credits

Credits belong to the account, not to the individual. When you remove a team member, any credits allocated to them stay with your account’s shared credit pool - nothing is lost, and there’s nothing to reassign.

Why is the remove option greyed out or unavailable?

If the trash icon or Remove member option appears greyed out when you open a user’s profile, one of the following applies:
  1. You’re trying to remove yourself. Admins cannot remove their own account. Another Admin on the account must do this. If you’re the sole Admin and need to leave, contact Lusha Support - our team can help you transfer Admin access to another team member before removing you.
  2. You’re a Manager trying to remove an Admin. Managers can remove Users but not Admins. To remove an Admin, another Admin must make the change. Make sure you’re logged in as an Admin and try again.
  3. The user is the sole billing contact. If the person you’re trying to remove holds the billing contact role, you may need to reassign it before removal is possible. Contact Lusha Support to update the billing contact on your account.
  4. Your role is User, not Admin or Manager. Only Admins and Managers can remove team members. If you’re a User, the remove option won’t appear at all. Ask your Admin to make the change.
You’re all set - the member has been removed and the seat is now available for reassignment.
