Auto Sequence

View as Markdown

Auto Sequence automatically enrolls new contacts into an email sequence the moment they're added to one of your tables — no manual steps needed. Only revealed contacts are enrolled, so you stay in control of credit usage.

💡 Note: When Auto Sequence runs, it also auto-reveals the contact's email address (Auto-Show). Each email reveal uses 1 credit.

How to set up Auto Sequence

  1. Open a contact table and select the contacts you want to automate, or click Add to sequence in the top panel without selecting contacts to apply to all.
  1. In the automation panel:
  • Choose Only new contacts or All contacts in this page.
  • Select an existing sequence or type a name to create a new one.
  1. Click Add contacts to a sequence.

The automation is now active. New contacts added to this table will be automatically enrolled in the selected sequence.

Managing your automations

Via tables

Click the ⚡ lightning icon in the top-right of your table to open the automation management panel and edit or disable the automation.

Via Engage

A ⚡ lightning bolt icon appears next to the contact count on the Sequences page when a sequence is linked to an automation.

Identifying contacts added via automation

  1. Open the relevant sequence.
  2. Go to the Contacts tab.
  3. Look for the ⚡ icon next to a contact's name — this indicates they were enrolled via automation.

What happens when you edit or delete a sequence linked to automation?

  • Deleting a linked sequence deactivates the automation.
  • Deactivating a sequence does not pause the automation — contacts continue to be added, but emails won't send.
  • Discarding a sequence (moving it to trash) deactivates the automation.

How to disable an automation

Click the ⚡ lightning icon in the top-right corner of the table, then use the on/off toggle to disable the automation for that table.

FAQs

No. Emails are only sent after you activate the sequence. Once active, enrolled contacts follow your sequence schedule.

Can I use different sequences for different tables?
Yes - each table can have its own Auto Sequence linked to a different email sequence.

Is there a limit on automations per table?
Yes. You can set one Auto Sequence automation per table. It applies to all new contacts added to that table.

Can I turn off automation for specific tables?
Yes. All automations are managed per table and can be toggled off independently.

What if I edit a sequence linked to automation?
You can edit the sequence freely. The automation will continue using the updated version unless the sequence is deleted or discarded.
