Manual vs. automated email sending

Lusha Engage supports both manual and automated email sending, giving you control over your outreach strategy:
  • Automated emails: Ideal for sending pre-scheduled sequences to multiple prospects.
  • Manual emails: Allows you to send personalized emails to individual prospects as needed.
This flexibility ensures you can adapt your approach based on your campaign goals and audience preferences. After you create an email sequence, you will be transferred to this screen, where you can customize the email sequence template. To start customizing your emails, click on the email in the sequence you want to customize and personalize it to fit your needs.
You can write up to 45K characters per email.

  1. There is an option to add and change the contact’s personalization fields above the email body (in blue). These fields will be pulled with the correct data points of each contact for a more personalized message.
  2. A signature can be included. To enable it, check the Include signature checkbox on the email step. Your signature will auto-append to the email when sending.
Outlook users can now add their signature in Engage. Go to Engage → Settings → Signature, paste your signature from Outlook, and save. Once saved, it will auto-append to all sequence emails (when Include signature is enabled on the step) and to single emails you compose.

Search contacts when adding to a sequence

When adding contacts to a sequence, you can now search by company name or contact title to quickly find the people you’re targeting. Use the search bar in the contact selector to filter results before adding them to your sequence.

Reply in thread

When building a sequence, you can choose to send follow-up emails as a reply to the previous message or as a separate email. To ensure your 2nd, 3rd, or subsequent emails are sent within the same conversation, simply check the “Send as reply to previous thread” box; Engage also detects replies left in your inbox for a short period (10–15 minutes) and automatically stops the sequence for that contact, ensuring no redundant follow-ups are sent.

Focus on personalization, clarity, and a strong call to action to improve reply rates. How can I improve traction with my outreach emails? Use tools like Lusha’s AI Assistant and templates, personalize your messages, and plan structured sequences with multiple touchpoints. How does Engage detect replies and stop sequences? Engage detects replies left in your inbox for a short period (10–15 minutes) and automatically stops the sequence for that contact.
