Most integration issues can only be resolved by a Zoho CRM Administrator and a Lusha Admin. In many cases, this is the same person.
Export fails or integration stops working
If contacts that previously exported successfully are now failing, or the export button produces no result, the most common cause is an expired or dropped connection between Lusha and Zoho CRM. To fix this:1
Open Integrations
Go to Integrations in your Lusha dashboard.
2
Disconnect Zoho CRM
Disconnect the Zoho CRM integration.
3
Reconnect and reauthorize
Reconnect and complete the OAuth authorisation flow again.
4
Retry the export
Retry the export.
Unable to connect Lusha and Zoho CRM (insufficient permissions)
If you see an error during the connection flow, or users report they cannot export contacts even though the integration appears connected, the most likely cause is that the user completing the OAuth did not have Zoho CRM Administrator privileges at the time of connection. To fix this:1
Disconnect the integration
Have a Zoho CRM Administrator disconnect the integration in Lusha.
2
Log in as the Administrator
Log into Zoho CRM as that Administrator.
3
Reconnect the integration
Reconnect the integration from Lusha’s Integrations page.
4
Complete the OAuth flow
Complete the OAuth flow while logged in as the Administrator.
Contact is exported to the wrong record type (Contact vs Lead)
By default, Lusha exports contacts to Zoho CRM as Leads. If contacts are appearing as Contacts (or vice versa), this is likely a field mapping configuration issue. To change the target record type:1
Open Zoho CRM field mapping
Go to Settings → Integrations → Zoho CRM → Field Mapping in Lusha.
2
Confirm the object type
Confirm that the object type (Lead or Contact) matches your intended Zoho module.
3
Save and retry
Save and retry the export.
Account name is missing after export
When a contact is pushed to Zoho CRM, the associated company (account) name may not appear on the record, even if it was visible in Lusha. This usually means the Company field is not mapped in your Lusha field mapping configuration. To fix this:1
Open Zoho CRM field mapping
Go to Settings → Integrations → Zoho CRM → Field Mapping in Lusha.
2
Map the Company field
Map the Lusha Company field to the Zoho Account Name (for Contacts) or Company (for Leads) field.
3
Save and retry
Save the mapping and retry the export.
Zoho CRM does not automatically create an Account record from the Company name field on a Lead. If you need full account linkage, you will need to convert the Lead to a Contact in Zoho and associate it with an Account record manually.
Compound or middle names are not exported correctly
If a contact has a compound first name or a middle name (for example, “Juan Bautista Bajo”), Lusha parses names into two structured fields:- First Name → the first given name only (“Juan”)
- Last Name → the final surname only (“Bajo”)
Lusha sidebar not appearing in Zoho CRM
If the Lusha panel is not visible when viewing a Lead or Contact record in Zoho CRM:1
Open the extension's More menu
Open the Lusha browser extension and click More.
2
Toggle Enable Lusha Everywhere
Make sure Enable Lusha Everywhere is toggled on. If it is already on, toggle it off, then back on, and restart your browser.
3
Hard reload the page
If the issue persists, open your browser’s developer tools, right-click the refresh button, and select Empty Cache and Hard Reload.
4
Confirm your browser is supported
Confirm you are using a supported browser (Chrome or Edge) and that the Lusha extension is up to date.
Export succeeds but CRM indicator is not showing existing contacts
The “already in CRM” indicator in Lusha identifies contacts that are already in your connected Zoho CRM. If this indicator is not appearing for contacts you know are in Zoho:- Confirm the integration is connected under Integrations.
- The indicator relies on email address matching between Lusha’s data and your Zoho records. If a contact’s email in Zoho differs from the one Lusha has, no match will be found.
- Allow a few minutes after reconnecting for the sync to update.
If none of the above resolves your issue, contact Lusha Support using the chat icon in your dashboard or email support@lusha.com.
