Signal Score and ICP Fit Score

View as Markdown

Every lead Lusha surfaces is ranked using two underlying scores — Signal Score and ICP Fit Score. Together they make up the overall Lead Score you see on recommended contacts and companies. Understanding what each one measures helps you know why a lead surfaced, and which to prioritize first.

Signal Score

Signal Score is a 0–1 ranking of how much real-world buying activity is happening around a contact or company right now: the number of qualifying signals present, divided by the maximum signals available. Every signal counts equally.

Company signals include:

  • Surge in Hiring (overall, and by location or department when a matching Target Profile is configured)
  • Headcount Increase (1, 3, 6, and 12-month windows)
  • Website Traffic Increase
  • IT Spend Increase
  • Buying Intent (LinkedIn Activity Intent, when a matching Target Profile is configured)

Contact signals include:

  • Moved to a New Company
  • Promotion
  • All of the company signals above, inherited from the contact's current employer

If a contact or company has no qualifying signals, it shows as "No active signals" rather than a blank cell or a 0 — so you can always tell a true zero-signal record from missing data.

Signals refresh from Lusha's signal data periodically (not real-time), so scores can lag slightly behind the underlying event.

Where Signal Score is available

API & MCPLive — score any contact or company list you bring, not just Recommendations
Workspace Saved TablesComing soon — add Signal Score to any Saved Table via the Enrich flow, expected by the end of August

See the Lusha MCP Server and API overview articles for how to pull Signal Score for your own lists.

ICP Fit Score

ICP Fit Score measures how closely a contact or company matches the Account Criteria and Persona Criteria in your Target Profile. The more precisely your Target Profile is configured, the more accurate the fit score.

ICP Fit Score is available on the Recommendations Home table and in Workspace today. It is not yet available via the API or MCP.

See ICP Hub: Setup, Scoring, and Recommendations for the full guide to Target Profiles, Inclusion Rules, and Exclusion Rules.

How they combine

Signal Score and ICP Fit Score are combined into a single Lead Score, which determines the ranking order in your Recommendations Home table — see Credits and Unified Recommendations List for how Lead Score and Signals appear there. A lead with strong signals but a weak ICP match, or vice versa, will rank differently than one that's strong on both.
