# Salesforce identifier (indicator)

The Salesforce indicator feature prevents you from accidentally revealing — and spending credits on - contacts that already exist in your Salesforce account. When the indicator is enabled, a Salesforce icon appears next to any contact or company in Lusha Search that already exists in your CRM.

## How to enable the Salesforce indicator

1. Go to **[Integrations → Salesforce → Settings](https://dashboard.lusha.com/lusha-integrations/advancedSettings/salesforce/settings)**.
2. Toggle on **Existing Salesforce indicator**.

Once enabled, the Salesforce icon appears next to contacts in Search results who already exist in your CRM. For companies, the icon appears in Company Search results only.

💡 Note: The Salesforce indicator uses your company's Salesforce API quota, not Lusha's credits.

## How to set up field mapping for the identifier

1. Go to **[Integrations → Salesforce → Salesforce identifier](https://dashboard.lusha.com/lusha-integrations/advancedSettings/salesforce/crmIdentifiers)**.
2. Map the fields Lusha should use to check for duplicates.

The identifier checks for duplicates using these field combinations:

**Leads and Contacts:** Full name + company name or domain, *or* email address, *or* phone number.

**Accounts:** Company name, *or* domain name.

## How to exclude existing Salesforce contacts from bulk reveal

See [Exclude Salesforce contacts from bulk reveal](/user-guide/export/exclude-salesforce-contacts-from-bulk-reveal) to prevent already-existing contacts from being revealed and charged during bulk actions.

You're all set - the Salesforce icon will now appear in your prospecting results next to any contact that already exists in your CRM.
