# Saved and recent searches

> How to save a Lusha search, access recent searches, and manage saved searches in Workspace and Prospecting.

To make it easier for you to return to your previous searches quickly, Lusha offers recent and saved searches. The feature works differently depending on where you're searching from.

## In Workspace

<Note>
  Workspace keeps up to 20 recent searches and 20 saved searches per user. Once either limit is reached, the oldest entry is automatically dropped and cannot be recovered.
</Note>

* **Recent searches** are saved automatically - every search you run is added to the list with no action needed.
* **Saved searches** are searches you explicitly choose to keep.

**How it works:**

* Open **Search filters**, then go to **Recent searches** to see your latest searches, or **Saved searches** for the ones you've kept.
* Click **Load** on any entry to re-apply all of its filters in one click.
* From **Saved searches**, you can **save**, **rename**, or **delete** an entry.

<Note>
  Building a search that describes your ideal customer? Click **Save as ICP** in the search panel to turn it directly into a Target Profile in ICP Hub - see [How to Create a Target Profile](/user-guide/ai-recommendations/how-to-create-a-target-profile).
</Note>

<Note>
  Saved and recent searches are per user - they're not visible to the admin or the rest of the account, and they cannot be shared or exported.
</Note>

## In Prospecting

<Note>
  You can save up to 20 searches per user. If you attempt to save a 21st search, the oldest saved search will be automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.
</Note>

To save a search, click on **"Save search"**. Then, navigate to the **Prospecting** section, click **Saved Searches** in the left menu, and open the saved search you want to edit. Adjust the filters at the top of the page as needed.

This will allow you to give a name to the search term you used and use it later.

If you are using a saved search with the Auto Add feature, you can update the filter criteria at any time. New contacts will be added based on the updated filters.

While you can adjust filters in saved searches with Auto Add, it is important to note that once a saved search is modified, there is no way to revert to the original search conditions.

If a saved search keeps applying unwanted criteria, it may be due to filters or text in the top search bar that were active when the search was saved. In such cases, create a new search without the unwanted criteria or rebuild the filters manually.

Once you have saved a search term, your Search home page will allow you to access it quickly. Additionally, you can manage your saved searches by updating filters or using the Auto Add feature to include new contacts that match revised criteria.

To access your recent searches from anywhere, you can use the **Recent Activity** or the **Saved Searches** at the top right panel. You can also adjust saved searches by navigating to the **Search** section and selecting **Saved Searches** from the right menu.

To ensure you do not lose important search criteria, regularly export your search results or create tables, and keep a manual record of your filters and criteria.

<Note>
  Saved searches are per user (which means that it is not visible to the admin or the rest of the account). Also, searches cannot be shared or exported.
